BREAKING: MTSU lands transfer IOL Trevaris Edwards
West Florida transfer IOL Trevaris Edwards commits to Middle Tennessee
Middle Tennessee football is continuing to cook in the transfer portal, landing West Florida offensive lineman Trevaris Edwards, GoMiddle has learned. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Edwards chose Middle Tennessee over Jacksonville State, Alabama A&M, Eastern Tennessee State and others.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound interior lineman brings much-needed experience at right guard, having appeared in 19 games during his collegiate career. He’s coming off a good season in 2025, where he was named Second Team All-GSC and allowed zero sacks in 10 games.
Edwards began his career with Carson-Newman, seeing time in nine games, including eight starts as a true freshman.
After the 2024 campaign, he transferred to West Florida and was on one of the best Division II teams in the nation.
He’s an impressive player with good size, plenty of strength and great physicality. The new Blue Raider is a solid pass blocker, but really excels in the run game. That will be vital in this new offense that Anthony Scelfo brings, as he loves to run the football.
At Southeastern Louisiana, he averaged nearly 170 rushing yards per game while doing it at an effective clip.
Edwards is the second offensive line commit of this portal class in a position room that lost four of five starters. He will likely slot in as the starting right guard as of now, but we’ll have to see what else Middle Tennessee does in the transfer window.
